Certificate adoption

The Commission adopted rules relating to the EU Digital COVID Certificate, establishing a binding acceptance period of 9 months (precisely 270 days) of vaccination certificates for the purposes of intra-EU travel.

Certificate details

Travellers can use a ‘Vaccine certificate’ as proof of vaccination, the following rules apply. The vaccine certificate must be issued by a national or state-level public health authority, be in English, French or Spanish, and include as a minimum:

Forename and surname(s)
Date of birth
Vaccine brand and manufacturer
Date of vaccination for every dose
Country or territory of vaccination and/or certificate issuer

Travellers can verify their vaccination status in the UK passenger locator form (https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk) if they are using either:

The NHS COVID Pass
The EU Digital COVID Certificate (EU DCC)

They should have their vaccine certificates available in case they are asked to show it.

Entry protocol

For general measure

All travellers are allowed to enter United Kingdom without any certificate requirements such as UK passenger locator form, vaccination, recovery and testing. Also, they are not required to quarantine after arrival.
