The European Union will accept Turkey’s Covid-19 certificates as of August 20, 2021.People holding a Covid-19 certificate issued by Turkey will be allowed to travel into the bloc with the same conditions as EU citizens.

* Travellers from Botswana, South Africa, Mozambique, Namibia and Zimbabwe will not be allowed to enter 

Document requirements 

*Entry to Turkey: All travellers into Turkey, except Turkish citizens or residence permit holders, must complete an online form a maximum of 72-hours prior to travel. 

All travellers (aged 12 and over) – including those arriving from the UK – into Turkey, from countries other than those mentioned below, must have proof of one of the following: 

  • a full course of COVID-19 vaccinations (completed at least 14 days prior to arrival in Turkey) 
  • recent recovery from COVID-19 
  • a negative PCR test (within 72 hours of arrival) 
  • a rapid antigen test (within 48 hours of arrival). 

For children aged 11 and under, no PCR test or vaccination certificate is needed. 

*Demonstrating your COVID-19 status: Turkey will accept the proof of COVID-19 recovery and vaccination record. 

Further entry restrictions are currently in place for passengers arriving from, or who have visited in the previous 14 days, the following countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Brazil, Egypt, India, Iran, Nepal, Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka. Quarantine 

  • If travellers have not submitted a PCR test within 72-hours of boarding their flight without a PCR test, they will be required to quarantine where they planned to stay. 
  • Travellers will not be required to quarantine or submit a negative PCR test result if they submit a document issued by the relevant country’s official authorities stating that they have been vaccinated at least 14 days before entrance to Turkey and/or have had the disease and were cured within the last 6 months.
