Electronic. The certificate can be accessed from COOV app and the QR code is also available.
Entry protocol
1. For general measure:
1.1 10 days quarantine for all travellers from overseas regardless of nationality and vaccination status

- 10 days self-quarantine at their own residence
- PCR test at a local public health center nearby place of quarantine
- [Short-term foreign residents]
- 10 days in a government-managed quarantine facility (Own cost)
- Self-quarantine is possible if a family in a relationship with a long-term foreign residents/Korean is confirmed (within third cousin, direct descendants)
2. For unvaccinated travellers
Unvaccinated persons and those who have not registered their vaccination records with the local health centers are required to provide negative PCR test results to enter certain facilities. Negative test results are valid for 48 hours, expiring at midnight on the 2nd day.
3. For other measures
3.1. Quarantine information for those entry from high-risk countries
- For those arriving from Tanzania / Chile / Peru / Myanmar, PCR diagnostic test within 1 day of arrival and take 5 days of government-managed facility quarantine + 5 days of self-quarantine
- For those arriving from India / Brazil / Africa (excluding Tanzania), 10 days self-quarantine after PCR diagnostic test at a temporary facility
- For those (Koreans and those who are exempted only) arriving from 11 African countries (Botswana, Eswatini, Ghana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe) will take PCR test within 1 day of arrival and go on 10 days in government-managed facility quarantine
3.2. Quarantine exemption (Suspension date : Dec 3, 2021 ~ Feb 3 2022)
- For travellers who have completed vaccination in Korea
Should be prepared of COOV app or vaccination certificate printed through GOV.KR
- For travellers who have completed vaccination overseas
Should hold approved ‘Quarantine exemption form’ (Submit vaccination certificate in advance)
*For the issuance of the quarantine exemption letter, the quarantine exemption application documents, pledge, and vaccination certificate must be submitted to the screening agency (embassy/consulate and relevant ministries)
- All travellers entering from a country with a mutated virus, such as Philippines, Uzbekistan, Indonesia etc, you cannot be exempt from quarantine regardless of vaccination(as of Oct 1, 2021)
- Korean travellers who have been in 11 African countries (Botswana, Eswatini, Ghana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe) within 14 days cannot be exempt from quarantine regardless of vaccination

Singapore (Korea-Singapore Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL)
- To mitigate the risk of omicron variant, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) has announced that travellers who will purchase air tickets for entry into Korea from Singapore between 29 December 2021, 0000hrs and 20 January 2022, 2359hrs (KST) would not be eligible to make use of VTL arrangement and would be required to quarantine for 10 days.
- Travellers who hold valid tickets purchased on/before 28 December 2021, 2359hrs (KST) and meet all other conditions for travel via VTL will not be affected and may continue to enter Korea via VTL.

COVID-19 PCR negative certificate issued within 72 hours before departure date
Consists of the following data:
Name (Should be same with passport) / Date of birth or passport number / Test method / Test date / Test result (Must have ‘Negative’) / Issue date / Administration etc
Language : Korean or English (If written in other languages, a certified translation must be submitted together)
COVID-19 test method : Tests based on gene amplification detection (NAATs, PCR, LAMP, TMA, SDA, NEAR, etc)
Exemption: Age under 6 accompanying with guardian who hold COVID-19 PCR negative certificate, Transit Passenger, persons subject to exemption from quarantine for humanitarian reasons and purpose of overseas business trips for official duties, Korean nationals of shift seafarers departing from Singapore (with Korean passport and Korean seafarer’s book)
