Entry protocol

For genaral measues

Visitors from foreign countries: prohibited from entering Macao (Eligibilities for exemption application)

Visitors from Mainland China, Hong Kong and the Taiwan region

Prohibited from entering Macao if they have visited a foreign country 21 days prior to arriving in Macao

Document requirement

For travellers from Hong Kong: If they have visited Hong Kong 14 days prior to arriving in Macao, they must hold a certificate of negative result for COVID-19 nucleic acid test valid for 72 hours from the day after the day of sampling (**With effect from 01:00 on 3 February 2022, all inbound travellers from Hong Kong must, upon boarding a mode of transport bound for Macao, present a proof of negative result for COVID-19 nucleic acid test within 24 hours from the day after the day of sampling)

For travellers from Taiwan: If they have visited Taiwan region 21 days prior to arriving in Macao, they must hold a certificate of negative result for COVID-19 nucleic acid test issued within 24 hours upon boarding the plane.

For travellers from Mainland China: If they have been present in Mainland China within the past 14 days prior to arriving in Macao, and have never been to any foreign country or the Taiwan region within the past 21 days prior to arrival

Those who have visited any of the cities/areas in Mainland China mentioned (For details please click: Special webpage against Epidemics–>Quarantine Measures Upon Arrival–>Medical observation), are required by the Macao health authorities to observe certain epidemic-control measures
All travellers from the Mainland China, except those arriving at Macao via the airport, must hold a certificate of negative result for COVID-19 nucleic acid test valid for 48 hours from the day after the day of sampling
Those arriving in Macao via flights must hold a certificate of negative result for COVID-19 nucleic acid test valid for 7 days from the day after the sampling day

Quarantine

Residents of Hong Kong, Taiwan or Mainland China, who have visited Hong Kong 21 days prior to arriving in Macao, will need to go to a designated places for a 14-day medical observation on arrival in Macao.
Residents of Hong Kong, Taiwan or Mainland China, who have visited Taiwan 14 days prior to arriving in Macao, will need to go to a designated places for a 14-day medical observation.
