The Co-WIN portal has introduced an option enabling users to link their vaccination certificates to their passport numbers for travelling abroad.

The certificate carries all the basic details of the beneficiary, such as

Name
Age
Gender
All the details of vaccination. Under the vaccination details, one can find details like vaccine name, date of receiving the first dose, next due date, location at which the person got vaccinated, and by whom.

For general measures

All travellers will be subject to thermal screening by health officials on arrival. They must comply with all instructions and screening requirements.

Document requirement

Visas
submit a self–declaration form on the online “Air Suvidha” portal before the scheduled travel
upload a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR report. This test should have been conducted within 72 hrs prior to undertaking the journey.
For those who travel to India from Pakistan, Israel, Kenya, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Afghanistan or Somalia, they may need to hold a valid polio vaccination certificate.

Quarantine

7-days mandatory home quarantine

A further COVID-19 PCR test is required on the 8th day of arrival in India. If the 8th day test is negative, travellers should self–monitor healths for the next 7 days. The results of the 8th day test must be uploaded to the “Air Suvidha” portal.
