Entry protocol

For vaccinated travellers

  • Travellers who have been vaccinated are not obliged to show a negative test result, but they must provide proof of vaccination before entering Belize by land or air.

For unvaccinated travellers

  • Unvaccinated travellers or those who do not have proof of vaccination must show a negative PCR test result for 72 hours or a negative Antigen Rapid test result before 48 hours of arrival.
  • Furthermore, for those who are unable to test prior to arriving by flight, the test may be done at the airport for a price of $50 per person. Also, the test prior to land or sea travel is not accepted in Belize.
  • All inbound travellers who test positive at the international airport will be subjected to obligatory quarantine at the cost of the travellers. Belize’s Travel Health Insurance is required for entry into the country and covers expenditures linked to isolation due to a COVID-19 diagnosis while being in Belize.

For children

  • Children under the age of 12 are excluded from the pre-arrival testing requirements.
