Entry protocol
For general measures
All nationals including Bangladeshi nationals and foreigners who hold Diplomatic, Official, Laissez Passer Holders posted in Diplomatic Missions in Bangladesh and their family members (who may be holding ordinary passports) with a valid visa, except children under 12 years old.
Document requirements
Travellers vaccinated with Covid-19 vaccine:
- All incoming travellers, except the children below 12 years old, shall mandatorily possess RT PCR based COVID-19 negative certificate. The PCR test shall be done within 72 hours of the flight arrival time in Bangladesh
- Completed full dose (single/double dose as applicable for a full dose) of Covid-19 vaccine. Travellers below 18 years old without full dose of vaccination can travel only with their family who fully vaccinated.
- Date of travel must be 14 days after the completion of the full dose vaccination.
- Must carry a hard copy of the Vaccination Certificate (checked at CIC).
Travellers not vaccinated with Covid-19 vaccine( due to medical reasons):
- Must have supporting medical letter issued by government hospitals or clinic.
- All incoming travellers, except the children below 12 years old, shall mandatorily possess RT PCR based COVID-19 negative certificate. The PCR test shall be done within 72 hours of the flight arrival time in Bangladesh
Quarantine
Travellers vaccinated with Covid-19 vaccine:
- No need for any sort of dedicated quarantine upon arrival (be it home or hotel)
- If any COVID- 19 symptoms are detected/observed on arrival, he/she shall be sent to Government Authorized Hospital for further checkup and will be sent to 7 days isolation at government nominated facility or Hotel at their own expense if Covid-19 is detected. RT PCR test will be carried out again after 7 days and he/she will be released when the test result is negative.
Travellers not vaccinated with Covid-19 vaccine (due to medical reasons):
- Travellers without having full dose (single/double dose as applicable for a full dose) of Covid-19 vaccine can enter Bangladesh, provided that they will have to complete a mandatory 14 days home quarantine.
- If any COVID- 19 symptoms are detected/observed on arrival, he/she shall be sent to Government Authorized Hospital for further checkup and will be sent to 7 days isolation at government nominated facility or Hotel at their own expense if Covid-19 is detected. RT PCR test will be carried out again after 7 days and he/she will be released when the test result is negative.

Vaccine authorised to be used in the country
These vaccines are authorised to be used in Bangladesh: Moderna, Pfizer/BioNTech, Sputnik V, Janssen (Johnson & Johnson), Covishield (Oxford/AstraZeneca formulation), Sinopharm (Beijing)
Border status
Partially open. No entry into Bangladesh without having full dose (single/ double dose as applicable for a full dose) of Covid-19 vaccine.
