Patrons of a non-essential business, such as fitness studios, sporting events, concerts, weddings, other private and public indoor social events, restaurants, and theaters, must be vaccinated with at least one dose of vaccine starting September 13, 2021 and both doses by October 24, 2021 according to British Columbia’s requirements. They explain how the economy will run and become safer as a result of vaccination using an interesting measurement concept. However, in Canada, this is a contentious political issue. Justin Trudeau of the centre-left Liberal Party has advocated for obligatory vaccination during the election campaign, but conservatives disagree and argue that this is an exclusion of individual liberty.
